***Official*** Australia in India ODIs/T20s 2017

Australia need to get serious about preparing for the next WC if we plan on winning it. Identify a core group and start playing them. Players like Faulkner can be scrapped, we have more talented options to take forward.

I both fear and respect and love Ben Stokes. It is an ominous 9.

Nothing compared to England's. Their tail is ridiculously long, ridiculously good and ridiculously annoying!

I really like the look of a Handscomb and Maxwell lower order, as long as Maxwell doesn't manage to stuff it up. That was a good series. It will be nice to get back to some bouncy wickets though. Feels like forever.

If Cummins gets injured just in time for some pacey wickets...

The unapologetic Lyon Bandwagon Thread - Not for TJB

An English commentator (I think it was Daniel Norcross but I'm happy to stand corrected) compared Lyon to a man how 'hangs around a bus stop and asks for change' the other day on BBC comms. A little harsh but amusing nonetheless.

Has Warner scored a double hundred? He really needs to learn to kick on.

    Australian Test Selection Thread 2017 - 2018

This argument about Handscomb being a keeper is insane. You have to prioritise keeping and he has clearly said batting is his priority, and rightly so. Why f up what is a real batting talent and even being talked about as a future Aus captain. It's up to actual keepers to put their name up and...

    Australian Test Selection Thread 2017 - 2018

It's pretty simple. The other three have earned their spot and Pattinson hasn't yet. The onus is on him to tear it up in the Shield. Of course it won't matter because there is a snowflake's chance in hell of all of them being fit come November or whenever the first test is.

Man that makes me love Pete, love the old school floppy. Takes me back to the 90s with Tubby Taylor and Junior. Fair dos to all in partic Warner but he's got a lot of ***** to make up for so he better go big tomorrow.

Khawaja is class. As long as he is in reasonable form for the early shield rounds then he should be a certainty. I do wish his fielding was better though.

Well done Bangas!!!! Eng and now Aus that's got to be good for the game. What a week of test cricket. What is Australia's record in tight test matches, I get the impression it's terrible. Tbh I don't think Haze will be much of a loss, his record in Asia is pretty poor.

To have that kind of partnership in both innings with a 23 yo and a 24 yo is pretty special. Sort the board and the pitches in Windies out, the talent is there.

So three of the four so-called golden quartet are now injured. Shock. Fly SOC over and play 3 spinners in the 2nd test.
