    2nd semi-final: India vs England | Providence

Yeah there definitely seems to be some turn which bodes well for India being able to defend a 170ish score.

    2nd semi-final: India vs England | Providence

Would have liked Rohit to go on a few overs but a Hardik special could still get India to a good score. Anyway a fine knock in a big game with some dodgy batting conditions at the start.

    2nd semi-final: India vs England | Providence

Batting seems to be easier. With these two well set and Pandya still left I think India needs to aim for and can get something close to 200.

Match 52# Afghanistan vs Bangladesh: Do or die for the Afghans

Is this the greatest low-scoring TT game ever ( say with a target below 120)? Between the possibility of three teams going through and the constant threat of rain, it was certainly one of the more dramatic games I have watched. Das played beautifully but perhaps should have been looking for more...

*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

This series is huge in the context of India's remarkable home test series win streak over the last decade. India is obviously going through a transitional phase with a bunch of aging players and on top of that there were multiple absences of key players for different reasons. Then you have...

It's got to be Jurel for the MOM right? Came in under pressure in both innings and played well both times. Seems a huge find just when India needs some good test batsmen.

With two well-set batsmen India should get the win, basically one of the two needs to stay till the end. It will be tense though especially given Ashwin's patchy form with the bat. Could be a big test for him if England get the breakthrough.

A well-deserved number 6 for Australia. I genuinely thought India had it after the third wicket but it's remarkable how much conditions eased after that and of course Head played superbly as well.

Amazing hundred by Head, definitely one of the great World Cup innings, reminiscent of Aravinda's innings in 1996 in a similar chase. The pressure in that stadium when Australia was three down was massive and he just absorbed it and kept scoring runs at a decent clip.

India needs to set attacking fields now. They do have the bowlers to take wickets and there is no point just drifting to defeat.

That's probably the world cup. It could have easily gone the other way...

Bring Bumrah back and give him a slip. Perhaps India's last chance.

Turn and bounce. Despite the boundary perhaps the pitch is livening up again?

Bring Bumrah and/or Shami back. India badly needs a wicket.

Terrific partnership under pressure. Have a feeling the game will turn on how soon the Indian quicks find some reverse swing.

The pitch seems to have flattened out and Head is counter-attacking well. India needs a bit of inspiration or luck...

If India snags another wicket quickly I reckon it's game over. The pressure in this stadium in a tight chase in a World Cup Final with the pitch doing something is just crazy. It's going to be ridiculously difficult for every new batsman.

Head had a better view than Smith of the lbw ; it was his call to make.
