***Official***THE FINAL- India vs Australia - November 19th - Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad (D/N)

India deserved a couple of wickets but not with the balls that got them. Happens.

What a crazy couple of overs. Definitely a lot of swing. Feel pretty good about India's chances...

A lot of swing. The first 10 overs will be really exciting. A lot of boundaries but hopefully a couple of wickets too.

I am going to stand out and say it's 55-45 in India's favour. India has 5 good bowlers, there is something in the pitch, there will be huge crowd pressure and Australia struggled with a smaller chase in the semi.

SKY just needs to go for it now; no telling how long the last two will last.

Yeah the silver lining for India is that there seems to be a fair bit for the bowlers both pace and spin. If India can hobble to 250 they should be able to put pressure.

Just checked Bumrah's stats and he averages 8 in ODIs which is poor for a number 8. The tail is clearly the biggest weakness of this side and it's hung like a shadow over this innings.

India has hung on in the middle overs but probably gone too slowly. The trick in the middle overs is to get 4 singles an over, some 2s and the occasional boundary. If batting conditions are OK that is very much possible without taking too much risk. In fact Dhoni and Gambhir provided a master...

Final | England vs Pakistan | Melbourne, 13 November 2022

Don't think Pakistan have put enough on the board to put England under serious pressure but who knows? There is clearly some turn and if Shadab can pick a couple of wickets it could put the middle-order under huge pressure. Obviously Pakistan have to break this partnership quickly to have a chance.

Final | England vs Pakistan | Melbourne, 13 November 2022

Wicket maiden in a TT world cup final. Doesn't get better than that. Could be a turning point in the game. Pakistan is probably not going to score a lot but there is a fair bit in the wicket for both quicks and spinners. Could be a great game; Afridi's opening spell will be crucial.

Group 2 (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Netherlands)

What an insane finish! My hands are still shaking; I haven't felt this kind of excitement from a cricket game in years. About 10 overs back my thoughts were that a peak Kohli might have won this game but the Pakistan quicks were going to be too good. And then Kohli showed he still has some of...

    Jacques Kallis vs Imran Khan

Imran. His captaincy adds more value than Kallis's fielding and I also think that bowling all-rounders are a bit more valuable than batting all-rounders.

    *Official* Australia in India (T20)

Nice finish! Other than that one glorious six Kohli was struggling with his big shots ; sadly he is past his peak. Hardik delivered as expected though. The outside off tactic was interesting though it didn't quite work in the end ; I think you really need a man on the third man boundary.

Peak-Dhoni finish by Hardik. The most exciting India-Pakistan game in many years.

Wow. Has there been an Indian batsman since Dhoni with that kind of power?

What a dramatic over with the game in balance. Think that six has put India clearly ahead with a final over by Nawaz still left.

Ravindra Jadeja vs Vinoo Mankad vs Ashwin

No surprises that I am going with the guy in my avatar. To add some context it's important to note that Mankad lost a big part of his career to WW2 and he played in a very weak team where he often had to bear a huge burden with both bat and ball, the famous Lords test being only the most...

*Official* India tour of Ireland and England 2022

I haven't seen much of SKY but he may be the finest hitter in the game right now. His footwork and shotmaking was worthy of ABdV at his best. Pity he got so little support from the other end.

Finally Bumrah and Shami at both ends. The problem is that both batsmen are well-set and India has fewer runs to play with. If the two had been used alternately at one end over the last hour the chances of picking up that crucial wicket would have been better.

*Official* India tour of Ireland and England 2022

Since Shami's last over, there have been 10 overs and 60 runs scored. An absurd passage of play where India has let the game drift and put England back on top.
