    3rd Test at the SCG, Sydney, 7 Jan - 11 Jan 2021

I'd say it's about 55-45 Australia ahead ATM and every 20 or so runs puts them a couple further points ahead on the score.

New Zealand- #1 ranked test side for the first time ever

They have in the period that matters for the ranking though, so he doesn't really need to amend his statement. What is the criteria, two years? I know I'm being pedantic here but it's not their fault they don't play as much or as long series as the Big 3.

    Ponting's on-drives were pure s3x

Are we still talking about the catch or Burgey's bowels

Their batting was bound to come good. Guess we take the inevitable bashing here and hope to come back strong in Brisbane, as unlikely as that is. We weren't bad today, but ****ing hell those drops were terribly costly even though Pucovski didn't add that many himself.

Very solid from these two. Reckon the rain owes us one here after having denied us a win on the last tour.

Looked like a dreadful shot that from Pucovski.

Nagarkoti looked very raw in the IPL. Away Test series in Australia no place to debut him IMO.

Warne is the worst culprit for abusing this phrase.

We weren't even getting into those positions before Kohli took over. Dhoni was getting us innings hammerings with us conceding 500 on a regulatory basis. The Kohli-Shastri nexus isn't perfect - far from it - and it may be time for a replacement (though I'm not sure there's any decent candidate...

The bearded chads we have nowadays aren't that much more reliable with the bat tbh. Bowling has obviously come a long way though.

Best test match number 3 since 1970?

The aggression thing on the other hand I agree with, and is a legitimate reason for putting Ponting ahead as a No. 3. On the greentop you get like 2/10 times Dravid is a superior option and Ponting probably on most of the other occasions (as long as there's no Harbhajan in the opposition...

Best test match number 3 since 1970?

Dravid was pretty damn good in England, better than Sachin overall though it's close enough (shame Sachin got to bat against an awful attack in '96 where he was at his pristine best). Looking at the composition of England's attack in 2002 and dismissing them as poor does a complete injustice to...

That tour was just an embarrassment all around barring Dravid. Best forgotten.

Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into that Kuldeep fiver as Australia seemed obviously cooked by that point having spent 2 days in the field and no longer having a chance to get anything from the series. But would still expect Ashwin the way he's bowling right now to at least do a decent holding...

I wasn't following Australia ODI cricket around 2012, so it seems I missed out on the entirety of Forrest's career. Only heard of him after reading his name mentioned in this thread and then looked him up.
