*Official* England in Sri Lanka 2021

He showed good form in South Africa. Will make a pretty 23 before nicking off to 2nd slip.

***Official*** India's Tour of Australia 2020/21 - General discussion

Border-Gavaskar has rarely thrown up one-sided series in the past 20 years except for a couple of notable exceptions ('99-'00 and '11-'12). Our 4-0 win in 2013 was a whitewash but the matches were interesting.

    4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

Nah man. No Gambhiring in the post above. If you think an attack without any of Bumrah/Ashwin/Jadeja is going to be able to bowl them out cheaply, it's extremely unlikely. Not impossible of course, it's sport after all, but extremely unlikely. One of the new guys might even bowl extremely well...

    4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

Our only real chance here is to bat first, get a lot of luck against the new ball and put up 500+ in the process. And almost all of those runs will have to come from the top 4-5 batsmen. So yeah, it's a very long shot.

    4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

Those suit Australia pretty well and Sydney was pretty much the classic Australian home pitch that the Aussie seamers tend to get a lot more out of than visiting ones, though they didn't bat as well as they should have in the first innings. I'm expecting Brisbane to be no different...

    Paine and Ashwin interactions

I don't fully recollect but didn't Warner have some chat with Trott in Brisbane 2nd innings 2013 when he was about to leave the tour and go home?

    3rd Test at the SCG, Sydney, 7 Jan - 11 Jan 2021

2011 Cape Town was a great draw but a bit tempered by the disappointment that we couldn't drive home a potential winning position (I think they were effectively 90/6 at one stage and recovered to set 340). Here we were always behind after day 2 lunch and injuries made things harder. EDIT ...

Ashwin has also batted well in all our tours to Australia. He was the only one getting any runs for us in 2012 though they were meaningless in that tour.

    Meaningless and stupid cricket statistics

He had extravagant stylish looking strokes but he was one of the most surgical batsmen ever at finding gaps. Even more than Sachin I think, at least in Tests, Sachin in ODI obviously was a beast in the first 15.

What does it matter which one they pick between Wade and Head lol. It's like India having to pick between Rahul and Shaw. They're both ****.

    3rd Test at the SCG, Sydney, 7 Jan - 11 Jan 2021

It was a ridiculously hard decision to make, I have no idea how umpires are even able to do it, there should be an option for an umpire to be able to say "I have no ****ing clue, I'm sending this up" ****, Sharma gone :(

    3rd Test at the SCG, Sydney, 7 Jan - 11 Jan 2021

Probably more of a "typical" Aussie track with bounce rather than roughness on the wicket which suits his style better than the previous matches. He's got a very good record in Sydney historically IIRC.

Shame none of the Aussies could do it to Jadeja. It's sooo easy, he doesn't turn it at all.
