    John Barton King in colour

Looks like he’d bowl big in swingers to a right hander. Very cool NC

    Garner / Pollock / McGrath / Hadlee

Garner was the best limited overs quick of all time, regardless of what you reckon about era adjustments or whatever. The bloke was built for it.

My Post WWII Test Top 10

This is all pretty subjective I guess. As a guy who can bat top six in addition to being a frontline quick bowler, there’s really only him, Sobers, Botham and Kallis in the chat. I think he’s better than Botham overall personally, and I think he’s a much better bowler than Sobers and Kallis.

My Post WWII Test Top 10

Batting average close to Mark Waugh and bowling average close to McGrath’s yeh, **** that

Give some rationale as to why Miller is “overrated” in your opinion

My Post WWII Test Top 10

Len Hutton Viv Richards Jacques Kallis Sachin Tendulkar Gary Sobers Adam Gilchrist Imran Khan Wasim Akram Malcom Marshall Shane Warne Glenn McGrath 12- Keith Miller without anyone batting too far out of position, this would be my XI/XII greatest cricketers of post WW2 I reckon

(I’m taking the piss with my Symonds stuff. A bit. I do genuinely believe he’s a more than adequate 5th bowler, even in an ATG discussion. But I enjoy the meme. And I do genuinely believe Bevan wasn’t as good as he’s made out to be. Nor was Hayden)

I have an excellent soh. Might not translate well on here always.

Mate, I love Viv, Lillee, Symonds, Warne, Miller. Proper alpha cricketers Jawlines aren’t part of my equation, and nor should they be yours

The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

I won’t be baited in to this Symonds stuff again. Ive proved time and again how good he was as an ODI player and particularly as a 5th bowler. Bevan was a hack who hit one four at the end of a game that hatched this bullshit “finisher” myth. Hussey could do everything Bevan could and do it...

The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

That’s the genius of this. With Symonds bowling his ten economically, if any of McGrath, Starc, Lee or Warne are struggling, MWaugh and Watto can chip in.

He’ll bowl 10. We’ll see how Pidge goes
