Feels so dirty barracking for the Pies today. If the Hawks win the flag from here it will be one hell of an effort. Lol, after the AFL decision the Swans are playing at ANZ anyway. It will be good to have such a big game between the two clubs but I reckon the Swans are just too good right now.

Disappointing way for Boomer to bow out and it's a shame he can't play on until 40! Can't think of a club that would recruit him though as I'm not sure he will be the icing on the cake of a premiership 22. The expansion teams are beyond the phase of looking for mature player/coaches now I think.

West Coast's premiership chances are probably shot now.

You have to wonder how he got the standard of the list so wrong this year. I guess the response this week will be important to see if the players still want to play for him. If the guys on the couch are right, a change in game plan could help them next year.

It was a dead rubber match for the Tigers so the result won't be as bad for the coach as it would be if it happened in round 10.

*Official* Semifinal One: Portugal vs Wales

Lol. Beating/Outlasting Croatia or Belgium in knockout game gives credence to a challenge for the title. Both sides that pretty much all the deposed teams would struggle to beat (bar Italy perhaps). They deserve to be where they are or we could claim the French are unworthy too.

    *Official* English Football Season 2016-17

Signing him at a career peak right now. His movement was amazing this season but Dortmund's style is something special and makes most players look good.

*Official* Quarterfinal Three: Germany vs Italy

Both teams were really feeling the pressure there and choking. So many shoddy penalties.

*Official* Quarterfinal Two: Wales vs Belgium

Playing with a back 5 worked well for Wales I thought. Belgium were unable to penetrate the middle block with the two deep mids in front, or create too much from wide areas, only a couple square balls that were comfortably dealt with. I guess the Italians use a very similar formation if the...

Tigers are 18th for tackles iirc. You do keep possession longer when your game style is up and running was D King's theory, but it did seem last night that lack of pressure at the half forward line allowed the Power to rebound too often and too easily. Where are the Tigers at? Time to dip and...

Bale never Fail! What a win for the Welsh.

Croatia are a good side. Modric/Rakitic is a hell of a midfield.

    Next England football manager.

He mentored a WC winning manager, and has to take some of the credit for Germany winning the WC as his positive style has been kept as the national team philosophy.

*Official* Quarterfinal Three: Germany vs Italy

I can't believe how bad Poland were against the Swiss. I've always thought they were a good side but the aren't very good this Euros. Lewandowski is struggling to impact matches but I feel he is trying to adapt from club level playing in front of 10 superstars where all he has to worry about is...

*Official* Quarterfinal Four: France vs Iceland

The French should win, but if Iceland play that well again they are a chance against anyone.

    *Official* Round of 16 thread

Unless the FA do a root and branch review of the development of juniors then the next manager(s) will continue to have the same technically limited players to choose from and England will struggle to reach the levels they aim for. Or the playing style has to change and accept that 10 men behind...

They did the double over the Dutch in qualifying. 4 quality teams in their group too.

*Official* Quarterfinal Three: Germany vs Italy

Will be a massive game, but could end up really cagey if both sides don't want to take risks.
