Barely plays T20 for Qld, certainly not in the running for Australia in that form of the game.

Reckon Wade is a great prospect with the bat. His big issue is that his glovework isn't particularly great. While his batting is better than Paine's the gap between them is not as large as the gap between their work behind the stumps with Paine a fair way ahead.

The ignore feature on this forum is utterly pointless

9 posts in 2 years and that is one of them. No wonder people get funny about things...

Don't reckon he's done. Just reckon he'll contribute with useful scores a lot but not make the big hundreds much anymore.

Starting to think that none of Ponting's later-career issues are reflexes, being done for pace, wrong shot etc. Reckon it is a concentration think, totally and utterly. He's losing it more frequently than he did in his pomp.

Ha, in my past life here I certainly could be. Like to think I've mellowed these days. That or the comment is a sign of acceptance

Na. When he makes Shield runs he looks unconventional. There is a huge difference.

All well and good but you've got to take your chances when they are presented. He'd have noone else to blame if he got axed. If Khawaja can make a handy 40* or so now I reckon it might be Hughes to sit out; if not, its 50:50 Hughes/Khawaja I reckon, with Hughes having had more chances at Test...

36 is his highest score in his last 9 Test innings. Pretty lucky to be there with those numbers. Reckon he's under the pump with Khawaja the next most likely candidate. Marsh has just gone out and done what neither of those 2 have done since the got their chance/second chance.

Marsh will be in for the next Test. Don't forget that Hughes also had the 3 Ashes Tests and was dismal. Reckon he's firmly under the pump.

Yep. Huge day for Hughes today I reckon. Has had a real cat-on-a-hot-tin-roof appearance at the crease now for about 18 months. Hoping he might be a bit more comfortable starting on 20 odd not out today. Big score would probably nail him his spot, reckon he's under the pump if Marsh and Khawaja...

The difference between bowling and chucking.

Great application of an amazing movie.

Reckon the best balanced opening pairs aren't always based on scoring rates, but more strengths of the players. For example, I've always liked the balance of a front foot player with a back foot player at the top of the order (think Hayden/Langer) as it makes the bowlers have to bowl 2...

To make runs at 5 and 6 I reckon we'll get more out of those guys, yeah. Certainly Ferguson, who's record reminds me a lot of M Clarke before he played Test cricket. There are only 2 opening spots in every side and Watson is a lock for 1 of them for as long as he wants. Reckon Hughes either...
