    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Webster definitely on the kind of run of form required at his age to still be considered in the event Marsh can't bowl.

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Would be very cheeky for SA to escape here and be not too far behind WA on points going into the break.

    **Official** 1st Test @ Perth, 22nd-26th November

Honestly my guess is Australia's XI will be something like: Khawaja McSweeney Smith Head Inglis Marsh Carey(wk) Cummins(c) Hazlewood Boland Lyon What I would really prefer is Davies and Morris instead of Inglis and Boland but we seem to be in a period where management has a fixed idea of who...

    **Official** 1st Test @ Perth, 22nd-26th November

I think it's fair to say it's unusual to have been able to have three such durable fast bowlers for as long as we have had now. More generally we are living in an era where fast bowlers are having pretty long careers. Speaking of someone who's been on ice...

I kind of disagree re. modern sports science. That we have 34/33 yr. old Starc and Hazlewood bowling in 2024 really vindicates the way they were handled with such delicacy earlier in their career IMO.

Even if the trigger was causing problems judging the position of his off stump, he has a record of being very good at his nicks not being caught. Would rather edgy Labuschange than what we have now.

Is it true Marnus has reduced the back and across movement in the last few seasons? Just don't really understand why if it was working so well for him.

I would give McSweeney more time but Cowan definitely looking exonerated about complaining he was an open-faced-slapper. Didn't really look like he wanted to meet the ball at all.

Well I'm leaning towards wanting wholesale changes. Bumrah is clearly terrorising our batting line up right now. To succeed for a long time at the top level I am inclined to think you need to come to some sort of inner peace at the summit. Marnus and Smith right now look like they're together...

    **Official** 1st Test @ Perth, 22nd-26th November

This is unfounded Gambhiring IMO. None of the Australian top seven bar maybe Khawaja have shown any useful crease occupation ability for a long time now. No way we are chasing 300 let alone 400+. As for deciding between Bartlett and Morris as the next cab off the rank, Bartlett is maybe too...

    **Official** 1st Test @ Perth, 22nd-26th November

Well will be interesting to see if there's a reaction to this from selectors or they double down. I don't think Australia have been as bad as the scorecard suggests (it was certainly easier to bat today) but there's definitely some warning signs in the batting effort and speeds from the quicks...

When faced with this there is little to say but God help the Australian cricket team.

    *Official* 2024 Women's T20 World Cup thread

If you were Australia before the tournament and offered a Faustian pact: You would lose Healy and Vlaeminck to injury but there would be no India or England in the semi-finals, the only consideration being winning the tournament, would you take it? I probably would.

The FINAL- South Africa vs India (D), Kensington Oval, Barbados-- June 29th

apparently only needed for first contact.

The FINAL- South Africa vs India (D), Kensington Oval, Barbados-- June 29th

Hmmm do you need to take a step inside the boundary rope before taking the second grab?

The FINAL- South Africa vs India (D), Kensington Oval, Barbados-- June 29th

This is unbearable even as a neutral.

The FINAL- South Africa vs India (D), Kensington Oval, Barbados-- June 29th

Had a license to hit that last ball. Single worst possible outcome.

The FINAL- South Africa vs India (D), Kensington Oval, Barbados-- June 29th

Thinking this will go down as the second best T20 World Cup final knock (after Samuels 2012) barring a Bumrah miracle now.

Match #11 - USA vs Pakistan - 6th June - Grand Praire Stadium, Dallas- Group A

That Amir over will be memorably bad.
