    2nd Test at Adelaide - 16 to 20 Dec

Pope's not doing anything so replacing him with Foakes would be a better move.

    2nd Test at Adelaide - 16 to 20 Dec

Rory Burns and Hameed don't score much anyways and there's no other opener in the squad. Also Bairstow can actually bat in Australia.

No need of Pope too, why can't England understand that they don't produce batting prodigies?

Please play Bairstow and Buttler as opener. Even they can score 20 runs and at least they will entertain us.

Even Banglades has an attacking wicketkeeper these days and posters here want England to go with Foakes:wallbash:

    2nd Test at Adelaide - 16 to 20 Dec

Batting at no. 7 with his approach, Foakes won't be able to contribute much even if he is a good bat (considering England's weak top order) You need a batsman who can play counterattacking innings like Buttler at no. 7. Also Buttler hasn't realised his potential in tests yet, his peak is way...

    2nd Test at Adelaide - 16 to 20 Dec

Jos Buttler will hit a century in one of the innings to seal his spot. He is the best wicketkeeper batsman in Eng, Foakes is a specialist wicketkeeper and specialist wicketkeepers do not belong in international cricket.

Bowl Root and get a new cherry under lights.

The Better Player: Ravi Ashwin vs. Shaun Pollock

Lyon is not mediocre (talking about his whole career and not just current form) He is definitely an Australian great.

The Better Player: Ravi Ashwin vs. Shaun Pollock

Why do Aussie selectors select a 32 averaging Lyon when they can easily have a below 30 averaging pacer? Example - Lyon had a fixed spot in the team even when Pattinson was available. That is because they knew a spinner has a totally different job in the team, don't just look up at those...

The Better Player: Ravi Ashwin vs. Shaun Pollock

Pollock > Warne, Murali too if we go by stats but you just can't compare a pacer to a spinner. Ashwin has a way better position amongst spinners than Pollock has amongst pacers.

Is Ashwin an ATG spinner / player?

I think we should forget that fast bowlers exist when we rate Spinners, otherwise we will always underrate them. On flat tracks like SCG,, Srilankan and UAE tracks you just can't bowl the other team out if you don't have a spinner, even though they might average the same as fast bowlers but...

Is Ashwin an ATG spinner / player?

Murali's away average in 28 but he is definitely rated higher than Waqar. Can't do a one on one comparison between a Spinner's average and a Pacer's, both have different utilities. A spinner taking 7-140 is way better than a Pacer taking 1-20 even though averages are still same. On certain...

    Trueman and Garner?

Chris Gayle vs Desmond Haynes (Test and ODI cricket)

Just had a look at Chris Gayle's overseas record in tests, he has mighty impressive stats. Aus - 50 Eng - 37 SA - 55 Nz - 68 Pakistan - 36 Sri Lanka - 42 I don't think even Haynes has such a fine record overseas

    Imran vs Wasim

If you are adding dinosaurs in the list then even Wasim won't make into top 10 There are a lot of spinners and military medium pacers from the stone age who average way lesser than Wasim.
