    Garry Sobers vs Imran Khan

Sir Garry. Comfortably the greatest cricketing being to ever walk this planet, if Bradman never existed. Once in a lifetime type player.

    The Best Wicket keeper?

Oldfield, Tallon both deserving of a mention. Would go Evans from here I think.

*Official* New Zealand tour of India 2024

3-0. Kinda of insane. Probably the most unexpected thing in any sport ever, definitely a top 10 imho. The greatest upset in cricket history by far.

    Hashim Amla vs Clive Lloyd

I will give it to Amla. One of my favorites too. Absolute beast in his prime. The stats, the late career slump probably doesn’t do him justice.

Biggest test series upset of all time

You would think the only team that could beat India in India would be Australia. Nobody expected NZ to win at all.

How would 80s WI and 2000s Australia fare in unbeatable current India?

With over 200 runs to go, that’s definitely more like 50-50.

England XI vs India XI (since 1970)

Has got to do with the massive shrink in the popularity of the sport within the country.

How would 80s WI and 2000s Australia fare in unbeatable current India?

They are probably losing. But a close series, 2-1 to India I think. Not sure on who’s winning between India and Indies tho. West Indies do have Peak Marshall. That’s Peak Marshall to go with a ATG Xi capable of blowing the Indian batting lineup regardless of the surface.

How would 80s WI and 2000s Australia fare in unbeatable current India?

Peak Ind couldn’t trash Australia. What makes you think they would have trashed Peak Australia and Peak Indies?? I could see them winning close series but thrashing both teams?? Nah.

England XI vs India XI (since 1970)

Basically excluding Hutton, Compton etc. Those who played after 1947 Hutton* Boycott Barrington Compton Root Pietersen Botham Knott+ Laker Trueman Snow/ Anderson

England XI vs India XI (since 1970)

SA won a series against Eng. WI had a pretty good fast bowling attack for the time and NZ had Jack Cowie. Ind had pretty good attack themself including ripping England’s top order apart very quickly before efforts from Ames and Jardine to save them. Botham averaged 21 against Indies. You just...

England XI vs India XI (since 1970)

Could I see your points for having Botham that much higher than Ames? You are basically downgrading Ames for not meeting his standards against one team. Botham isn’t a better batsman or comparable to Ames. He is ranked No.57 in your list to Ames no. 82. That’s just not acceptable imho.

England XI vs India XI (since 1970)

Ames did pretty well against everyone except Australia. Him being at no. 82 is way too low from my reckoning. Also his F.C stats, also did pretty good against Indies. An average of 40 in Tests, and an average of 43 in FC is definitely not no.82.

India Xi vs Pakistan Xi (from 1970s)

O’Reilly as well. Especially considering Warne may well get hammered by Indies and Tiger having more success against the very best batsman. WI would benefit a lot by having Headley too alongside ofc Sir Gary. Think Headley could well open fitting one of 3W’s in middle opener.

Battle of the Most Watchable Players

Interesting no one other than me have voted for Thommo. Probably biased opinion here due to being a fast bowler and having strong preference for quicks. But why would you want to watch a guy bowling at 80-90 kmph rather than watching probably the fastest ever?
