    Jack Hobbs vs Sachin Tendulkar

I would say in a way he definitely was. Walter despite living in Bradman’s shadow and not that good of a person himself seems to me to have lot more appreciation for Bradman than Bradman does for Walter. Bradman wasn’t a good guy in any sense. Definitely a jerk with unprecedented skill.

    Jack Hobbs vs Sachin Tendulkar

If Bradman actually had Hammond in the main team instead of 12th man it would have been respectable enough team imho. He could have had one of Bedser and Grimmett depending on the pitch. The Jealousy towards Hammond definitely got in the way if the team was actually selected by him which I think...

    Len Hutton vs Viv Richards

Leaning towards Hutton. Best opener to debut in over 100 Years.

For Final pick I will go with Bill Edrich Arthur Shrewsburry Bill Edrich (6) Ricky Ponting* Clem Hill Mohammad Yousuf Charlie MaCartney (5) Mohammad Rizwan+ Ray Lindwall (1) Bill O’Reilly (3) Jeff Thomson (4) Fred Spofforth (2)

    Holding vs Gibbs

If he was as good of spinner as he was quick then I would have slight thinking. Though wouldn’t choose him as a 4th bowler regardless. Imagine Sobers playing as a 4th bowler and bowling spin to Bradman, Smith, Ponting etc. That’s gonna be a huge weak link for WI.

    Wally Hammond vs Allan Border

Top 10 chess players of all time Paul Morphy Bobby Fischer Magnus Carlsen Garry Kasporav Jose Capablanca Emanuel Lasker Anatoly Karpov Mikhail Botvinnik Alexandar Alekhine Vishwanath Anand Morphy’s talent was beyond imagination. Pretty much The W.G Grace of Chess. His games were played at...

    Wally Hammond vs Allan Border

Peak Fabiano was very very close to dethroning Magnus. Magnus couldn’t beat him at classical. I kinda of think of Capablanca from Hammond’s own time who is pretty much the equivalent of Hammond. In terms of talent mainly, especially the allround talent that Walter had I think equals Capa. Both...

    Wally Hammond vs Allan Border

Walter Hammond easily and it’s nowhere close too.Border isn’t a better or comparable batsman to W.R Hammond.

    The Fastest Bowler ever?

When Tait got it right, he was quicker than Lee arguably even Shoaib too. He was a good deal bigger and perhaps stronger than either too. Though, I think Shoaib was insanely strong as well.

    Brian Lara vs Sunil Gavaskar

No question really. He became an undisputed top 10, arguably in the top 5,6 ish with an injury. Could well have been very strong candidate for that no.2 spot without it. I guess you could still make some argument for him though I wouldn’t agree tbh.

    Brian Lara vs Sunil Gavaskar

From an article. Batting averages of 2010s were up to early 2016, pitches ofc got lot worse for batting since 2017 ish. The 20s and 30s were roads but not that much more than the latter decades. It were next level roads compare to pre- WW1 but not in comparison to other decade. I guess I have...

    Herbert Sutcliffe vs Jack Hobbs

Imagine Australia playing as much as England in 1930s. Even with the lesser number of matches then and war in between, Bradman would have held the record for entire 20th century.

    The Fastest Bowler ever?

But Thommo was clearly quicker in all scenarios of measurement ahead of everyone. Just look at some of the deliveries from Thommo’s footage. Absolute rapid.

    The Fastest Bowler ever?

The first one where Thommo got 100 Mph was done in Perth test 1975/76. Roberts, Holding, Lillee were all measured, you can see that in 1st page.
  16. P

    The Fastest Bowler ever?

Shoaib was no faster than Thommo too. Thommo did breach the 160 kmph barrier in those limited scenarios. Shoaib barely crossed that despite being recorded for his entire career.

    The Fastest Bowler ever?

Thommo hit 100 mph way earlier. Tyson probably bowled as fast as anyone right now. Tbh Don’t think the threshold has been reached, there just haven’t been super express quicks.

    Viv Richards vs Sunil Gavaskar

I have actually started to rate Gavasker pretty highly lately. Would go with Viv but it’s really close. Viv’s contemporary rating has got to be affected with how he played the game compared to that of Gavasker.
