*Official* South Africa in Bangladesh: Two Test Series, 21-25 Oct, 29 Oct-2 Nov 2024

I think we need 220 in the first innings because 200 might start becoming daunting for either team after that on this deck. We're not going to get there. Our top order is such a joke.

We're 8 overs into the match and it's already turning square. I hate this ****. Make it a proper cricket match and give the batsmen a chance. Particularly our batsmen, who need the pitch to be placid for a couple of days if they're to make any sort of score.

Shanto is still moving when he plays the ball and it's going to get him out. He's not organised at all. There it is

People will say Shadman shouldn't have slashed at that one way outside off but it was full enough to smother and drive maybe. He just needed to do it better.

Had no idea he was an all rounder. It's alarming how much you know about Deshi domestix

Oh, there's no Harmer? What happened to him.

I agree, we'll never have a better chance to beat them. Problem is that Maharaj and Harmer skittled us on a dusty deck in South Africa and might do it again. Also we've struggled against fast bowling even on Deshi decks and had a wrecking ball put through our batting more than once by guys who...

It'll be Nayeem Hasan, a tall offie who gets a lot of turn. He's expensive but bowls a lot of good deliveries. Also a handy tailend batsman. He debuted when he was 18 six years ago and has done well on helpful wickets. He's a guy I expect to play a lot of cricket for us if he keeps developing.

Yeah it's pretty grim when they play three quicks. 10 and 11 are pretty much the worst batsmen in the world and sometimes 9 is just as bad. When Taijul and Taskin play, they offer a bit more resilience but it's not great. I'd prefer Miraz at 8 as well. Shakib will be a significant loss, unless...

Will Sarfaraz Khan be the greatest Khan?

Bangalore the site of the greatest triumph so far in the life of the Greatest Khan. Feel free to discuss in this thread rather than the other, far inferior thread about this historically significant figure.

They've named Hasan Murad as his replacement. I have no idea who this guy is but I want them to play Miraz as the all rounder coming in at number 7 and pick a batsman to replace Shakib in the middle order. Miraz, Taijul and Nayeem would be a strong spin attack. Nayeem is a guy who I think can...

Thanking you, Squiddo. I purposely omitted the ***Official*** tag in the title as I imagine it might actually be easier to spot the thread without it.

I'm guessing they'll go with two quicks + Miraz and Taijul. They should really have picked Shoriful instead of Nahid, as I'm convinced he's our best bowler. But out of the three quicks available, I'd go Taskin and Hasan Mahmud. There's a need to expose Nahid to international cricket, but...

The Tigers: Bangladesh News, Selection, Fanboying and Fury

I would like to know what sort of assault this was. But yeah, any sort of physicality probably should not be encouraged. Faruque clearly had a pre-existing problem with Hathura so I'm sceptical.

    *Official* Pro-Wrestling Thread II

From a Reddit thread title: Meltzer says the AEW/WBD deal will begin in January 2025 and is worth $555m over three years ($185m per year). There is an option for a 4th year. AEW will be very profitable with the new deal even before they get a TV deal for Shockwave.
