Fine, I moved him up8-) Depends how much of a turner it is really. Question - if Lee & Clark would be stuffed what would Watson be? Injured?:p

Anyone fancy an XI like this? Watson as third seamer and Clarke and Katich to get through a few overs. 1.Hayden 2.Jaques 3.Ponting 4.Hussey 5.Clarke 6.Katich 7.Watson 8.Haddin+ 9.Lee 10.McGain 11.Clark

Adam Shantry vs James Tomlinson, September 2008

I'd say it will be more be a case of wanting to get bang for buck out of Thorp so bowling him more rather than risking Davies an injury, plus they had Onions, Plunkett & Killeen in the mix. I mean, a club going to lengths to protect a player's average?

Adam Shantry vs James Tomlinson, September 2008

I think I remember him backing Tremlett at one stage so this may not be the case

If I was Australian Watson would be considered nothing short of a god. Hardly irrational when it is that rare for a person to be able to bat and bowl aswell as Watson. I'll say right now any Australian who is not a huge fan of Watson's game must be blinded by his own neglegence

Getting runs in both innings of FC matches would have helped. In OD JMac playing the whole season. That is all:p

They are both New Zealander's living in Australia with PI ancestry, despite the fact Stanley was born in Australia - he's a Stanley FFS:laugh:

I remember mentioning earlier in this thread that Watling was a good bowler and had cleaned me up a couple of times in the nets(he plays for my club), then someone dismissed it as irrelavant because they said Guptill is also a quality bowler:unsure: Watling bowls sharp skiddy balls which...

Sri Lanka A in South Africa - Mathews' Watch

 Haha, to think I labelled a previous match as madness. Herath 88* from 76 balls is tough to comprehend, though as you mentioned Theron broke down after bowling only 4 balls. Tshabalala to the scrapheap

Here is a recent update on Franklin, news that Martin has a hamstring injury and found out Fleming is just playing 20/20 for Wellington

AWTA. Southee a must, not only for experience, but(numbers aside) he is the country's best seamer imo. May seem rash given his age, but it is just my opinion..

    *Official* CW XI Media Coverage

With no less than 24 CW dev league batsmen passing 1000 runs for the season I would be inclined to suggest the options do not end there EDIT:About 5 per team!

27 season overs with no wickets for 132 runs suggests it was given some form of a chance

Plus I reckon he has so much more to show us with the bat, I really do rate him as a quality batsman. It's gonna to be fun to watch future NZ batting orders consistently going to 10 or even all 11, should get the aussies mad anyway

Yeah that's right. Franklin's problem has more been his length - often he's either too full or too short. He probaly has more than likely being working on bowling a more consistent length
