This one is in the public domain so I'll leave it at that. What off field events were they?

Must be more to it? Anyway he is a very good umpire, great decision maker and good manager if players too. This one is in the public domain so I'll leave it at that.
Admire the fact you stopped to the end. The Don Robson was Baltic after tea and I hadn't packed my Bi- Nok- Ulars to view from the distant sunny shores of the Co Durham Stand.View from the Don Robson Stand ,section 20
Mitch Killeen continued his preseason good form by taking 5 wickets which could get him a place on the bus to Nottingham next week. Steady and consistent line and length.
Ben Raine eased his way back in his normal reliable way knowing full well he is vital with the new ball considering the early injury list. Stanley Mac and new boy Will Alexander bowled decent spells without getting any lift and bounce which was expected on an early season slow wicket .Parky and the Drizzler didn't get any turn whilst Akkers was ring rusty
Credit to the Uni team who stuck to the task in hand and made 327/9
Interesting to see Badger opening with Ben Mack considering his new role at the club .My initial thoughts were maybe open with Clarky for a chance to put himself in the red ball frame . Fair play to Badger who played a few fluent shots towards the end of play ,Will he put the cat amongst the pigeons if he goes big tomorrowFelt Ben Mack got a low one to be bowled for 2 . Not sure about the non-appearance of Haydn Mustard and Dan Hogg . Hopefully not injury related and more a case of international training camps . All in all a canny day with a touch of catching the sun

Unfortunately I'm the latest injury victim. My 2 defunct knees that are due to be replaced have stiffened up and causing great pain . He’s the best umpire in the world by a country mile. No way he gets demoted, for me it must’ve been his decision. With all the travelling being an elite umpire brings, added to that his franchise gigs around the world, it isn’t conducive to stable family life.Must be more to it? Maybe he asked to be removed or maybe that link you posted - had something to do with him being removed?
Great umpire. England more often than not have always produced good umpires. David Shephard (R.I.P), Michael Gough, Dickie Bird, Peter Willey, Richard Kettleborough, Ian Gould, Jeremy Lloyds (R.I.P) to name a few. He’s the best umpire in the world by a country mile. Either way, that’s enough speculation, the man deserves his privacy and I wish him nothing but the best.
Is he meant to be here in time for Trent Bridge?Brendan Doggett - 6/31 in the Sheffield Shield Final
