This bowling lineup cannot defeat the WestIndies team in Asian pitches especially Indian pitches.

Warne : Averages 43 in India.

McGrath : Good overall record. Zero 5-Fer in 8 Tests in India and 1 5-Fer in 19 Tests in Asia.

Lillie : Never played in India. Took just 6 wickets in 4 Tests in Pak & SL.

Cummins : Averages 30 in 9 Tests in Asia with 1 5-Fer.
Why will they play in Asia/India?

WI for me
Their bowling is just too damn strong
Marshall. Ambrose. Holding. Garner.
It is like the perfect combination of fire and ice.
On pretty much any pitch they will destroy the batting
Two of them can take the pitch out of the equation
two?

What about if they played it in New Zealand? Where:

Richards averages 19
Lara averages 36
Lloyd averages 15
Sobers averages 15/38
Marshall averages 32
Holding averages 47

Notwithstanding the obvious point that in either of those venues they'd be playing each other, rather than the home batsmen and bowlers they struggled against.

State 12th Man
I really think these ATG Xl should always include a 12th man.

If the ATG XI favours pace then a spinner is the 12th man. If it favours Spin then 12th man is a pacer.

If the XI is perfectly balanced then 12th man can be an all rounder.

I think that is fair.

Some suggested 12th men:
Aus: Miller or third bowler like Cummins/O'Reilly
WI: Gibbs or Garner
SA: Faulkner or Procter
India: Mankad or Jadeja
Pak: Shoaib or Fazal Mahmood if Mushtaq Mohd selected already
Bang and SL: No idea
England: Botham or Bedser
