NZ's weakness is they don't have a gung ho batsman up top. This pitch is as flat as it gets. They need to do better than going at under 6 an over. Conway is missed here.
Rachin is shaping as that player, South Africa have bowled pretty well to him I think. When he comes off can get the scoreboard flying, but not the finished article yet.

Pretty happy with this start, the run rate could be better but we haven't lost a wicket yet, if we keep wickets in hand we can up the run rate later on.

I have a question

How would you rate NZ-SA as a sporting rivalry? Or does this only exist in Rugby?
Huge respect. Two best rugby teams of all time. We have had the better in test cricket but they have gotten the better of us in some crucial ODI games. Helps that for the most part their players are very nice and respectful. Those that have come over for SA20 have been popular.
