I have a question

How would you rate NZ-SA as a sporting rivalry? Or does this only exist in Rugby?

It looks like South Africa are starting with a leg slip, you don't see that too often, our batsmen should be expecting some short stuff from Jansen,

It's the biggest and best rivalry in rugby without competition.

In cricket, I've always counted England and Australia as our biggest rivals. But us v New Zealand has always been a good rivalry especially in One-Day cricket and Kiwi's have given us some beatings when it's really mattered. I wish they came and played us in our country more. But truth is, I've always thought if we don't do well I would like the Kiwi's to do well.

Very highly. We respect them a lot. Obviously rugby is huge part of that. I remember readmission when we played a test in SA in 92, then they played 3 tests here in 94 (drew at Eden Park), the 95 final at Ellis (Suzie/Invictus etc.) and our 96 tour over there then early Super Rugby were massive. NZers were genuinely sad when the likes of Joost, James Small, and Ruben Kruger passed away

Stories like Sutcliffe/Adcock/Blair Tangiwai, 45 all out in 2012, and the 2011 and 15 Cricket World Cups are also etched into Kiwi sporting conscience though.

Yeah until recently, test cricket between the two seems to have completely dried up (and NZ haven't toured SA in 8 years I think), we could have have some cracking tests with NZ being much better than they were in the Smith-ABD-Steyn era.

This looks like another batter friendly pitch in Lahore so it should be another high scoring game.

We have had some good contests in ODI cricket but you have had the better of us in test cricket, especially in South Africa where we've been flogged.

Probably one of the reasons we haven't had a test tour there for so long.

I had to look this up as I had zero recollection of this 2016 tour! I was thinking we hadn't been invited back since that 2012/13 debacle.

Jansen's tactic of bowling short isn't working out too well for him on this pitch so far.

NZ's weakness is they don't have a gung ho batsman up top. This pitch is as flat as it gets. They need to do better than going at under 6 an over. Conway is missed here.

Conway is the definition of an accumulator whilst Ravindra is aggressive.

This is a knockout match . 330 is enough
