4th Match - Australia v England

Thought 351 was a good score and Australia would have trouble chasing it. Once Carey got out felt confident of an England win with Maxwell likely to go for a low score so it was a big shock that England lost. Maybe 400 would have been a good score. Archer going at 8.20 and Carse at 9.85. Johnson wasn't trusted to finish his overs at 7.7l so Labuschagne was tried and got 2 wickets.

Next game Overton for Carse. Mahmood for Archer

Why not give Butler or Salt the gloves, move Root to 3, and pick an allrounder instead of Smith?

One of England's issues is outside of root and duckett noene can start vs spin with the field out and roots been getting out in the PP alot. Line-up works better when you've got root at 4.

Not a you thing, but I've seen people complaining about root and ducket not going hard enough in the middle yesterday, which confuses me. They where 200-2 in the 30th. That's a perfect platform. I actually like root at 4, it's worked recently. It doesn't matter because England have no death bowlers, no middle over wicket takers aside from rashid, and a 5-7 that are all struggling to kick on. Brook can't start vs Leg spin. Livingstone is a leg side merchant who's easy to keep quiet 9 in 10 games in this format and buttler can't seem to remember how to bat in one day Cricket.

Amazed that the England bowling attack managed to do collectively worse than our BBL cinematic universe 'Avengers assemble' pile of **** we've scrapped together.

Also I'm not, weak of will and character that entire nation. Been over a century since their best cricketing work, not since genocidal racists like Churchill were running the show.

I was pretty comfortable that our 12th string team would do England over as I settled into bed last night. Ultimately, my wife's flatulence meant I moved down to the lounge and slept there, but my confidence in the outcome of this game never wavered.

I mean, if our first string team could dominate them, what were a bunch of blokes, many of whom had barely played a game of cricket before, going to do to them!? My first thought was "probably a 5 wicket victory to us".

England tried everything:

- cheating ball changes
- leaving the field to get refreshed/have a shower
- Murray Mints
- Dirt in the pocket (probably)
- opening the batting with a garden ornament
- bowling (kind of)
- fielding (see bowling)

None of it made a difference as they simply came up against a team of genetically superior human beings.

A couple of them were even cricketers.
I'll refer you to the first line of your sig.....now go and fight with your neighbourhood kids.

I dont see English bowlers troubling Aussies in the home summer. Itll be a big step down from Bumrahs unplayability.

Just need to get Duckett out early.

I see Labuschange opening. Inglis will be in the team automatically at #6
