Oh boy that was a tight (correct) no try call. Mee deserves a try though, has been excellent on debut for Wales.

Sidenote, just saw the score in the Brumbies vs Force, 87 points all in. Wowza.

Wales improvement today was Gerrard-leaving-Villa level.

Scotland playing some beautiful stuff so far, might regret not putting up more points.

Surprised no check for head contact on the Scotland 16 there, looked to get headbutted by the England tacklers - I'm all for TMO staying out of it, but thought that looked a more obvious candidate than the Chessam one earlier.

Dunno, maybe I'm seeing something that wasn't there.

Well, not sure what to make of that.

Scotland played all the rugby, but we managed the game and kept our discipline (not often I get to type that) so much better.

Including the final group match in the WC v the Samoans that's fifteen out of nineteen matches England have played decided by a converted try or less in points (of the other four, two were 9-point defeats, and two big wins over Japan.

Of the 15, England have won 8, lost 7.

In my youth I did miss a few science classes so maybe then I missed something important.
No way was Itoje supporting his own body weight near Englands try line when the Scots were attacking

Quite like old times - as in 35 years ago, or so. It reminded me of those matches against France is the early 1990s when the French would score a beautifully crafted try or two and we'd in the matches on penalties with the English commentators crowing about Gallic indiscipline. As you say, quite the turnaround from England's more recent tendency to play as if the rules of the game didn't really apply to them.

I've got France v Italy on in the background while doing life admin (new job opportunities etc) - might need to pay a little extra attention it seems - 38 points in 27 minutes is some going.

Edit: 45 in 30.
