Do you guys think Bumrah can be goat bowler inf future
Anything’s possible. This is quite a bowling friendly era so ideally I would say to be considered conclusively the goat he’d need at least an average of 19.94. You’d probably want 400 wickets or 377 at a minimum. But if he gets 377 it probably takes him longer than Marshall so..

Plus he should try and take a 10’fer.

I’m just not sure I see him playing long enough to conclusively put himself with that very top echelon in career terms, let alone above them. Like can he maintain this level for another 5 years? I don’t think so tbh. Would love to be proven wrong.

Don’t agree.

Marshall played full time for just 9 years. Why is that not used an argument against him when Hadlee played for 15+ years?

Okay
I use it against him and for Hadlee/McGrath all the time. Also, yeah Marshall almost never broke down in that timeframe, and he did played a fair few games, albeit not regularly, for 5 good years. It wasn't like Cummins with 1 game and a 5 year break. I think @Swamp Witch Hattie illustrated it really well

If he is miles ahead of every other fast bowler since his debut why should it matter if it is bowling era or not?
It shouldn't.

If you stand out against top 4-5 teams home+away & away then you stand out. Key is standing out and you have to be miles ahead of your peer group. Era being bowler or batsman friendly is not relevant here.

Now if we are deducing something just based on raw avg without looking at peer group then thinking about era is important.
