Yes , Wood made his debut in 2015 but still hasn't taken 100 odi wickets..He still needs another 20 odd to reach the mark.I feel like this is often true for Mark Wood - I’m a fan but he looks like he is going to take a lot more wickets than he actually does
David Willey made his debut in the same year, retired in 2023 and has 100 scalps despite being a squad bowler..
Of the 29 English bowlers who have taken 50 odi wickets or more , Wood has the 3rd worst bowling average, only Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes average worse. Pace privilege
