I don’t like this experiment with Axar at 5 just to have the left right combination going. Keep the guy averaging 48 there.

He heard you and ran Shreyas out to get Rahul in.

FWIW, I dont mind these trials in these JAMODIs. And I do think this is an aspect we missed in the WC final even. And the good thing about Axar is he does get those singles to the gaps very well, not just the shots. He has come on massively as a batsman.

All said though, I would still prefer Rishabh and Jaiswal in the top 5.

I think it's a good move ..

I mean the promotion of Axar in the T20 WC final helped India win the game with his 31 ball 47 ..

If you have a deep batting line up it can be handy to promote a lower order batter and give him the freedom to play shots ..

So for the last game, I would rest Gill and Rahul and get Jaiswal and Pant in.

Also Arshdeep for Shami... and maybe Kuldeep for Axar?

Rohit (c)
Jaiswal
Virat
Shreyas
Pant (wk)
Hardik
Jaddu
Harshit
Kuldeep
Varun
Arshdeep

I like the variety of that bowling attack too...

I wonder what England will do for that last game. If they can get Topley back, I would like to see them play Overton, Topley, Carse as the bowling attack with Rashid, Livingstone, Root as the spin backup?

Duckett
Salt (wk)
Root
Brook
Buttler (c)
Smith
Livingstone
Overton
Carse
Rashid
Topley

sounds a pretty good side. Maybe a second spinner for Smith.. they are gonna miss Bethell, aren't they?
