Webster is so much fun. Test debut at 31. Smashes India and bumrah around on an inconsistent green top and takes some poles bowling medium pace. Now he's come to Sri Lanka, made a handy 31 during a classic Australian collapse on a spinning deck, taken 2 wickets bowling offies and taken a few blinders with his 6 foot 8 buckets. What can't he do?

before the WTC final, shane warne Keshav Maharaj should tell his team-mates to stand their ground for any catches Herschelle Gibbs Beau Webster takes

Would be even better if he never played a test again when green comes back. Won't happen, but he'd 100% be one of those cult "guess the test cricketer" type guys in 30 years.

I'd prefer Green to slot in for Marnus at this point tbh.
Green is 100% a lock. his last knock was 174* against NZ. He will be the best bat in the side once Smith retires. He returns automatically, hes also the future long term captain of the side as Cummins isnt guaranteed to keep playing consistently he is injured now and 30 plus.

Probably dont see Green as an all rounder given the back stress fractures but its probably OK given his batting is good. Hes like a Tall Ponting. Both athletic in the gully region and good fielders, catchers.

Webster and others will be there as specialist all rounders.

halba why aren't you saying anything about beau webster, the cheating catcher.
Yeah i saw it, totally a cheat there. Ball Hit the ground and claimed a catch and everyone had the disrespect to walk off almost. Luckily the camera angle got it in the last split second, the cheating.

i was about to say full credit to peiris for coming out for this match and showing he’s not utter mud but then he threw a real pressure release drag down into that last over

Definitely not, i was about to comment on it actually but forgot.

This game is basically over, this total isnt competitive unless the pitch is a literal minefield. This team is the best aussie side since the peak aus team- this is because it has a spin attack.
