Sehwag was horrible in Sena.
**** off joker. This is why Lara is levels above. So is Smith
the hundred in the innings defeat doesn't hold the same weight for me.Aus 07/08- 4 matches, 493 runs @70
SA 2010/11- 3 matches, 326 runs @81
Surely count as dominant tours. The one in SA had Steyn bowling as well as a fast bowler ever has too.
Not counting tours of Sri Lanka etc. There's also Aus 1991/92 and 2007/08.
England 1996 and 2002.
West Indies 1997.
Good to know then Lara has no Great away Series as well; since then surely 688 in a whitewash holds no weight.the hundred in the innings defeat doesn't hold the same weight for me.
17 hundreds in SENA.What are Sachin's best touring performances, in 24 year career
SA scored 600+ and india were trailing by 500 runs, there was no way they were winning. The intensity from SA bowlers won't be the same as say when the match is in balance. If he had scored that hundred in the first innings, ya then it's fair. But if you think sachin's hundred in that second innings hold the same weight as Lara's any of the hundreds in sri lanka.. congratulations.Good to know then Lara has no Great away Series as well; since then surely 688 in a whitewash holds no weight.
I would think one would try and be intense to push for the winSA scored 600+ and india were trailing by 500 runs, there was no way they were winning. Wow, good to know about this informative stats. What are Sachin's best touring performances, in 24 year career probably Aus in 99/00 and SA in 10/11. Neither series he really dominated.
Rest of his away tours I don't think he distinguished himself as the best touring batter, I'd say Dravid & sometimes even Sehwag did better.
Still I'd pick him ahead of Smith though, could change by end of Smith's career who knows.
Getting wise in his old age tbh.
He did well in those series but not necessarily the best touring batter. There's also Aus 1991/92 and 2007/08.
England 1996 and 2002.
West Indies 1997.
Yeah probably 07/08 Aus tour I agree.Aus 07/08- 4 matches, 493 runs @70
SA 2010/11- 3 matches, 326 runs @81

17 hundreds in SENA.
Multiple good tours in each nation.
6 tons in Aus
5 tons in SA
4 tons in Eng (plus 3 90s)
Dravid also toured those nations almost as much as Tendulkar. Dravid struggled in both Australia and South Africa almost throughout his career.Yes, he is incredible at hitting a century in a series so if he tours 4 or 5 times he'd get that many hundreds. But not a batter who dominates series away from home. Dravid did it at a better rate despite being not as good a batsman and playing in the same lineup and in fewer series.
Funnily Tendulkar didn't have this problem in ODIs, but definitely a weak point in tests.

In Aus, Eng and SA (top sides)
Dravid 77 inns, 8 tons, avg 45.88
Sachin 96 inns, 15 tons, avg 51.64
Just a spell sample from that century in that test. Certainly no walk in the park though I can understand why you would rate other tons higher.SA scored 600+ and india were trailing by 500 runs, there was no way they were winning. Actually Kallis has 292 Test wickets. But yeah it's astonishing.Getting wise in his old age tbh.
Seriously, 39 players have taken 300 wickets. 15 have scored 10000 runs.
To be part of both of those clubs is insane to think about.
mb haha was just going off that imageActually Kallis has 292 Test wickets. But yeah it's astonishing.
