iirc it was 2004, 99% sure I got that DVD for christmas that year..


and yeah it might not be the greatest XI ever, but then again, none of ours probably are either.

You could probably more accurately call it his favourite great players, and I’d be perfectly happy with that. Its a great team, Miller as 12th man and Worrell as manager was also a nice touch.

Since it is his team I presume he’d coach.

Marshall for me. Was great vs everyone everywhere and everytime and especially on Asian wickets. People talk up the fact that he only excelled because of the greatness around him...Bull. Marshall had to earn his way into the WI team and had to excel to keep his position, duh there were others waiting in the wings for his spot: Croft, Sylvers, Mosely, Stephenson etc.

It's close between Sobers' batting and Marshalls bowling though. Matter of fact, I'd only rate Don and maybe Sachin (longevity) ahead on primary skill over MM.

Wi are bowled out for 53 in the 1st test in '86 and MM only has a young Walsh and Gray for company. People are calling for the end of WI cricket. Nope, 2nd test, Marshall obliterates Pakistans top order and were it not for weather, WI would've beaten Pakistan in 2 days. Nearly won us the 3rd and deciding test but for weather (again) and interesting Pakistan umpiring .
