Because of the way the draw works, it looks likely that the semis will involve Australia, India, England and SA. England do have to play NZ, but seeing as they managed to lose Nigeria, I suspect they're not very good. SL may also cause some problems to Aus/India.

One team that has seemingly proven to be better than expected is USA. They beat Ireland comfortably and were not disgraced against England.
The weather may still have a big say in who makes it. England lost points with their game vs Nigeria rained out. SA haven't gotten to play 20 overs yet with all games rain reduced.

Well it didn't, looks like the semis are pretty much confirmed with a few games still to play after England thrashed NZ.

It'll be India v Eng and SA v Aus. India will likely top their group on NRR and SA will top theirs courtesy of England's two abandoned games. But these 4 looks miles ahead of everybody else anyway.

The Aus U19 team looks like they're about to lose to Sri Lanka only chasing 100. Some impressive bowlers in the team but the batting has been underwhelming.

The super 6 schedule made very little sense. England and SA in same group but never got to play each other. Same for aus & India.

Well done to Nigeria for finishing third and taking another scalp in Ireland today.

SL beat Aus and yet it's the Aussies who qualify for the semis (SL had their game with Scotland rained off). The irony is, that by being in the same group and not playing India, they also avoid them in the semi finals.

It would appear that India and England are perhaps the best teams, but they will meet in the semis (Aussies only scraped past Bangladesh as well). SA are a slightly unknown quantity as they've only really played NZ of any note, and they turned out to be pretty woeful.

The weather seems to be impacting so many games too, but looks like India will be tough to beat.

Difficult to judge SA as we haven't played any big team nor played a full game. All our games been rain affected.
Whoever decided its a good idea to hold a tournament in Malaysia during the monsoon season needs a rethink.

In the second semi, England were going along superbly at 81-2 in the 12th only for a monstrous collapse to 93-8 5 overs later. Scraped their way to 113. but doesn't look enough even on a tough pitch like this.

Well done SA, Aus just not been very good in this tournament, a rarity.

That's been a pretty common feature of these matches, so they still have a good chance if they put India under pressure early. Perrin has been very impressive.

Perrin certainly seems the batting talent in this side. Should consider fast tracking her to the full squad.

Well it wasn't close in the end, I doubt England would've defended 150 which is where they were heading to before the collapse.

India look far superior to all other teams (on these pitches anyway). Be interesting to see if SA can cause them any problems in the Final.

Must say, the women's game in SA has made such massive strides and not just at the top of the game. The structures below it.

Re-match of last U19 final in Kuala Lumpur in 2008 when Parnell's South Africa took on Kohli's India.
