Ok, so Williamson struggles in regions that offer support for Bounce/movement/spin, generally where batters struggle.
That's too varied to make a region.

at average of 28, not to mention, he was the one taken to the cleaners in the first inning at the first place.
They all were taken to the cleaners in the first innings but he got the wickets they needed.

Nah, the game was sealed when Australia put 400 as a score, you can have domestic bowlers bowling and even then England won't chase it.
That's not how matchwinning works. You still need a bowler to take the wickets and if it was so easy, how come Ashwin never did anything like that in 26 games in SENA?

NZ Yeah, the one away game Lyon ever won for his time in "tough" conditions.
No. Lyon ran through sides to win games in Eng and Aus too. Ashwin? Nah.

they can't be rated because they didn't play, unfortunate, but that is just how things are. Let me put it like this for you, when it comes to being "complete", someone like Mark Richardson or Trescothick was more complete than Virender Sehwag and Mahela Jayawerdene on technicality and better all round, but their careers don't stack up so they aren't better.
What about Sanga and Viv? Kohli and Yousuf? You can always find counter examples.

about the same variety as SENA, actually, it's just SEA + India/Sri Lanka IE subcontinent, lol

Iirc, Root didn't get out, And Bairstow had done the damage by the time Lyon got him anyway. Infact, I don't see why this is better than Ashwin's Edgbaston performance in 2018

He never had the luxury of bowling against a **** batting lineup trying to chase 400 on a final day

Australia is his home conditions, a direct fair comparision would be Lyon in Australia vs Ashwin in India, leagues apart. And nah, he never won anything in England.

High wicket match volume in a won game in SENA. We can disagree I think Lyons was important.

He ran through England to win a game late in the match which is what is expected from spinners in SENA. Simple as that. And Ashwin doesn't have a single fifer in SENA.

Its only the list of countries he has won games includes Aus. And Eng.

I'm not lol, it's literally SEIA + SL

Oh well, I don't think he was.

Yeah but the match was done, the fifer is mid

Ashwin has also been important in wins in Aus, Ind and SL, and he's like infinitely better at home, so he has won more matches than Lyon for sure.

far, far lesser extent. Ashwin is Williamson, Lyon is Pujara or lesser, Vaughan maybe.
Honestly I Don't consider it possible for an offspinner to average less than 30 in Aus over the 2010s. Warne a averaged 27 in Aus in the 2000s and the 2010s were even flatter IMO. So that has to be factored in when considering Lyon.

I like how after being so picky about Lyon in Eng and dismissing his wins in SC, you immediately lower your standard for Ashwin.
