Lyon in Ind vs Aus already produced these gems. Nothing Ashwin did in these series comes close. So pls retire this silly 'head to head in Aus' talking point.

averages 31 at home, boosted by Windies too, probably around the same level of home bowler as Kaneria and Moeen Ali, maybe marginally better than Moeen
He bowled in probably the most batting friendly surfaces for a decade as an offspinner and his performances improved. The sad fact is you know this but are still being incredibly petty for some reason about taking his numbers at face value IMO.

Also reminder that Ashwin averages well over 40 in Aus.

Kaneria's were flatter, not my fault he's too **** a bowler to average less than 31 at home, make all the excuses you want, nothing would make Lyon a better bowler than Stephen Fleming was a Batsmen.

Yeah I don't think you buy your own argument honestly. Australia is probably the worst place in the world for offspinners to bowl.

no need to get pissy because you can't make a rational argument for Lyon over Fleming as a Cricketer, actually, Fleming might crush due to captaincy.

Based on what? He takes 5WPM in India and has been improving every tour he goes there.
based on being a 31 averaging international bowler and being outperformed by multiple spinners in India, he's never making over Ash and Jadeja in India, and he isn't good enough away to make in over Jadeja's batting

Yeah Fleming is your red herring my friend when your first argument failed.
If you can't make an argument worth a salt, atleast don't yap, instead of yapping you should work on having a standard that actually works consistently rather than a standard that gets picked apart by a little bit of critical thinking.
