Warne and Murali would destroy the current Indian batsmen.Warne boutta finally do something against India, 6fer for Viv
Shane Warne threatening batsmen with a broken toenail.I can never recall a time where Warne came close to being a threat to our batsmen..
If only he didn't strike at 35 I would agree.all these analysis styles make Hutton the GOAT btw guys
A counter to this.Arguments against Sachin
1. No monster peak(compared to Smith or Viv)
2. No monster series
I do not think both these things are a big deal and considering his longevity he is the best since Don
What’s your argument against Viv? Just curious to know.A counter to this.
Monster series is what wins said series.
While I think that Sachin might have the slightest of advantages, I do believe that Viv has a good an argument to be seen as the best since Bradman.
Consistency is brought up for Tendulkar, but he always had easier home pitches, and his 90's record is greatly aided by minnows.
The 2000's were also a dead era that a poster today was attempting to kill Lara for, taking advantage of.
Viv never played minnows, and never had a dead era to take advantage of. He's also very arguably the greatest player of fast bowling, ever, and at his peak I'm not taking anyone over him.
He did things that no one else could. Sachin did it longer.
That's not a run away in my book.
Yeah, Hutton faced some strong attacks and live pitches.Well I'd argue he faced better ones than Smith, but regardless, the greatest attack he could face was the absurdly strong Australia one, Miller/Lindwall/Johnson in 40s and Miller/Lindwall/Johnston/Johnston in 50s, I'd argue latter is one of the greatest attacks of all time due to the sheer variety and quality and Hutton averaged 88 against them in a very bowler friendly series and then scored against them in England too.
slaughtered WI spinners, easily cracked O Reilly at his early 20s, also cracked the Windies pacers that Hammond never could crack, it's true someone like Gavaskar faced more great bowlers but I'd argue Hutton got less stat padding opportunities than Sachin/Sunny/Lara which balances it out for me.
full respect for me, zero statpadding and faced greats all over the world, only maybe not facing his own attack leaves a sour taste in the mouth but not his fault.
1. No one star padded like Sunny, that's just facts.Scoring centuries against great pacer(100+ wickets and average less than 25)

To say Hutton did not statpad unlike Gavaskar, Sachin or Lara is a joke.
Hutton never faced bowlers of the calibre of Gavaskar, Richards, Sachin or Lara.
Sachin did it for longer. What’s your argument against Viv? Just curious to know.
That’s trueNo one star padded like Sunny
Definitely very good attacks but looks like it was a bit of a road.He also has this 188 against Marshall and Hadlee but it’s not in a test match

I said what I said and also referenced the speed of pitches he was successful on.That’s true
Look at how many centuries he stat padded against useless bowlers
