146 in extremely flat conditions of the 1st test!
Not really if not for Sachin’s 146 India could have lost the match easily. It was a Series deciding Match and except Gambhir and Sachin most the batsmen failed in the First Innings.

some of Gambhir's best work in Test Cricket, he supported Sachin as well as Rahul to Jaiswal in Perth.

nah 146 was in the final test, where even nobodies like Sreesanth and Zaheer got wickets
In Cape Town first couple of days it suits fast bowling and will be spinner friendly after that, Sreekanth took 5 Wickets in the first innings

Someone should create a thread Saeed Anwar vs Sachin Tendulkar who was the Best Opener at Sharjah Cricket Stadium 🏟 in ODIIMG_2701.jpeg

It probably would've gone down as an even more legendary innings if Dhoni hadn't gone defensive. There was a chance India could've won that match and the series with it.

That game is legitimately one of my favourite ever Test matches. Just insane stuff happening from start to finish, from Kallis reminding everyone that he can explode just fine when circumstances dictated, to Steyn bowling hands grenades (that ball in Pujara especially), to Harbhajan of all people somehow finding a way to score against him anyway, to Kallis reverse sweeping the **** out of Harbhajan on one leg, to the tour thread going absolutely mental at Dhoni's tactics. Good times.
