Very important win for Pool as it changes the narrative massively.
Can't fault Nunez today obviously, but I wonder how Liverpool are going to strengthen their attack next season, because City will be very much back to normal next season. Nunez despite some nice crucial goals and the increasingly brittle Jota won't cut it IMO.
Trent to be fair has been pretty good since the Dalot debacle.

Trent's been very good all season he just suffers from agenda-based analysis. The lazy casuals who only watch big games saw the United performance and took the chance to criticise him and continually point to it, despite the other 20 league games this season where he's been remarkably consistent. I want to credit Konate, he was my MOTM. I thought Szobo was really good too and of course Darwin deserved his big moment.
In terms of how we improve next season... we need an fit top class striker. Jota might be the 2nd best finisher in the league but he's not available enough to be relied on. We will have to buy another option because Darwin won't stay. My sense is Diaz will also leave, so we'll need a back up LW. Finally, LB is another spot we need to upgrade anyway, I think we can get more creativity there because neither Robbo/Tsimi offer much.

Anyway I think I'm prepared to declare the league is over. Late goal to win it and then Arsenal drop points at home again after being two goals up.
Should be a 9pt gap with a game in hand by the time Arsenal step on the pitch at Molineux and that will cause serious pressure.
I look at their bench and I just don't see how Arteta can change games or inject any sort of attacking threat. They're in desperate need of signings.

Ange is a good coach, they’re just missing the entire back half of their team. It reminds me of when Leeds fired Bielsa when they had a generational injury crisis during a hard run of games. At the time people will shrug and feel like it makes perfect sense, but when we look back in a couple of years it’ll seem completely insane.

Lots of players putting their hand up for worst defensive player at United. Dalot and De Ligt were the front runners but Mazroui and Onana making a mark today. Maguire about the only one looking better in the new system.

Dalot had a good game v Pool tbf, but overall very poor this season. They desperately need proper wing backs IMO this Summer. Maguire who has rightfully got plaudits this season wasn't great but obviously the least of the United's concerns atm.
I seen this from The Athletic earlier and it summaries how ****ed they are , their is an upside though!
