Probably, and the greatest bowler ever getting 3 votes is crazy, no offense to Gavaskar but I don't think anyone bar Hobbs/Bradman/Sobers should realistically beat Marshall
Very much agree, and coincidentally my top 4 All Time as well.

We can quibble about the order.

That's what I'm saying. PFK's list is worse than ESPN's.

And there were 500 voters? Don only got 100 votes?
There were 100 votes, Don got a 100, Sobers 90, Ater that as you know, there was massive drop off.

The votes there after we're largely political and skewed heavily by the amount of voters for each country.

The rest of the top 5, were obviously Hobbs (30), Warne (27) and Richards (25)

England had 28 voters, Australia 20, South Africa 11, West Indies 11, India 10, New Zealand and Pakistan 8.

He did. He also captained him in the ROW series in Aus in 71/72 when Gavaskar did nothing, as he always did against full strength Australian attacks.
You meant for in a 3 match series except in which he scored 70 in the 2nd innings, was Given a laughably poor lbw which he would had survived in Pakistan and India still successfully completed the chase to draw the series??? RoW was also his very 3rd series and he did scored 50s in both the last two matches.
