Lol. No way Aravinda is a better bat than Flower (with due respect, love Aravinda). And like, if they don't even have Healy in the team, no ways Stewart is keeping over Flower.

Why would he be in a 90’s XI?
Flower in the 90’s 39 matches 2580 @ 44.48 6 tons 16 fifties
Flower in the 00’s 24 matches 2214 @ 63.25 6 tons 11 fifties
His best playing years came after 90s and mostly against India

Gooch only played until 1995 which isn't enough of the decade imo.
Andy Flower only averaged 44.48 from 39 tests in the 90s. Aravinda averaged 46 from far more tests. MWaugh averaged less but played many key match winning innings at key moments

Just pick Dravid for the 90s team and put him at 6. He played fewer tests than Aravinda (about as many as Flower) but was better than them and averaged ~50 with some magnificent tours in SA, WI, NZ, Eng.

M Waugh is underrated now. Very good v quality attacks.
Gooch scored more runs than Kirsten in 90s with far better average
But Gooch was the 3rd highest run scorer for England
in the 90s only behind Stewart and Atherton, and among 11 players who scored more than 4000 runs in 90s. Decent enough to be in a 90s team in my opinion.

Gooch retired around 93-94 didn't he? But yes, another good candidate especially if he outscored Kirsten.
