Well Rhodes dismissed Trumper 9 times in 31 matches and Trumper dismissed Rhodes 0 times in 31 matches. Tough choice.

At least with Bradman and Hammond they both dismissed each other.

seems pretty clear cut to me, Trumper the Greater Batsmen averaging 39 to Wilfred's 31 (tho, Rhodes averages higher as an opener) while Rhodes the better cricketer as far more longetivity and has 127 wickets @ 26.97 with some match winning spells in Australia and insane logentivity.

He was even considered better than full time spinners like Verity iirc
