What do their peak 5 years divided by peak 80 innings stats look like?
Peak 5 year stats:-
Virat Kohli (2015-2019):-
4548 runs @58.31
Geoffrey Boycott (1967-1971):-
2228 runs @61.89
( Didn't count the 1973-1979 where he missed two years, he took 2795 runs @52.74)

Peak 80 innings stats:-
Geoffrey Boycott (inn. no. 42-121):-
4107 runs @60.4
Virat Kohli (inn. no. 50-129):-
4761 runs @62.64

Why would you divide these numbers?

Depends on a lot on factors, If someone is like Ponting and is a 41-42 odd averaging player outside a 5 year peak in a 18 year career then that's a huge problem, but if someone goes from averaging 60 to 45 post peak in a bowler friendly era like Smith that's not that big of a problem imo
