He is fairly well short of it and it is a fair reflection. He is a very very good bat but not an ATG great. Indian great, yes.

Yeah in the Excel ss I put up, it comes out to < 313 runs (assuming 10 outs) for a < 47 avg
I mean he’s pretty on track, but he’s got the one not out. Guess it needs to be 283 runs.

Fun stat:

Kohli 100*, 4 other innings = 26 runs
Smith 101, 4 other innings = 23 runs

Jaiswal 161, 5 other innings = 32 runs

Future great Jaiswal imo, following in their footsteps.

edit: Actually can only be 9 innings so 253 for Kohli.

Might reach 45s the way he is going. If he has a shocker in England as well.
Yeah not impossible. If he's dismissed 15 more times from here on at an average of 26.5 or less, he will sink into the 45s. If he's dismissed 20 more times from here on at an average of 31.5 or less, he will sink into the 45s.

England don't have as accomplished an attack as before so you never know, but that push way outside off stump with ageing eyes v experienced bowlers in the conditions will likely get him in trouble.

Hard to see any way he gets back up to 50. In the past 5 years, he's only averaged 30 once.
If he's out another 25 times he'll need to average 69 per dismissal.
He's more likely to finish averaging 45 than 50
