Fully agree.Viv should be 4. Tendulkar no.5
Fully agree.Viv should be 4. Tendulkar no.5
I agree with that. And none of them were no. 6 ATG quality.
It is. Did you expect anything else?Bradman at 6 is madness
Lol going by averages might not be the right thing to do.3. Viv 62 avg
4. Sobers 64 avg
5. Sachin 60 avg
6. Bradman 97 avg
Yeah, that's why I mentioned they can't be taken at face value. I don't think he was nowhere as good as an actual 50 averaging batter. This is what happens when people get carried away with the 50 / 19 spiel.
At mo point was he that calibre of batsman.
He wasn't.Yeah, that's why I mentioned they can't be taken at face value. I don't think he was nowhere as good as an actual 50 averaging batter.
Agree tbh.He wasn't.
Still really good for a no 8, or good no. 7, but not no. 6. And definitely not at that level.
One God Tier - Bradmanbatting way too short.
Not no.6 in an ATG XI.This is what happens when people get carried away with the 50 / 19 spiel.

It looks like people like Viv so much that they want him at number 4 even if it makes no sense to have him over Sachin.Fully agree.
It's an entirely different setup in an ATG XI.It looks like people like Viv so much that they want him at number 4 even if it makes no sense to have him over Sachin.
At 4 : 41 inn. 1566 runs @ 41. 4 centuries.
At 5 : 63 inn. 2720 runs @ 47. 6 centuries.
At 3 : 59 inn. 3508 runs @ 61. 12 centuries.
At this level, wouldn't even categorize Gilchrist as a proper batsman, and even Australia was reluctant to bat him up there. One God Tier - Bradman
Five batsmen - Hobbs. Hutton. Sachin. Sobers.
Two all rounders - Imran & Hadlee.
Six proper batsmen and two bowlers who can bat
I am not sure why this batting is short

Stop looking at spread sheets dude.It looks like people like Viv so much that they want him at number 4 even if it makes no sense to have him over Sachin.

That's no surprise, and your right.Let’s just agree to disagree
I am having Sachin at number 4
Why would Sachin need to build an innings with the lower order though? Are you assuming the lineup is gonna collapse?I prefer a batsman who can build an innings with lower order at that position and don’t believe with his style Viv can manage it.
