Imran? He was damn impressive in the later part of his career.
He certainly became very impressive with the bat...when his bowling became awful in like 89-90, he was more or less a frontline batter at the time and averaged iirc 34 with the ball with a 80+ sr, I don't think it's fair in all round comparisions for Immy's batting to be rated based on a time when he was a full flown batter instead of an all rounder.
Hadlee better with the bat than Imran?
Seriously?
obviously not bruh, he average 5 more than Hadlee even before his late career batting boost.

He is saying Hadlee is a better batsman than Imran because of the opponents.
well Hadlee isn't close to Imran with the bat but some of his efforts are pretty underrated, his 39* in Trindiad saved a game and his 103 is a magnificent knock.

Imran cooks in batting tho, 32>27

Isn't this an all time team? Shouldn't the best versions of the player be considered, regardless of when that version came?

And Imran, for a 9 year stretch (1982-1991), was averaging 53 with the bat and 19 with the ball. Maybe the batting average cant be taken at face value completely, but it's still damn good.

Sachin is the greatest number 4 in test cricket and he is arguably the second best ever batsmen.

But if we are comparing peaks or prime( depending on how long that lasts), Steven Smith had arguably the best peak for any batsman bar Don Bradman.

If I am choosing the greatest number 4 batsman, it’s Sachin Tendulkar.

If I am choosing the batsman who had the best peak for number 4 position, it’s Steven Smith.

82-88 he was averaging 43 aided by not outs (only 33 runs a inning) and some FTBing, and 17 with the ball, ATG for sure and surely the best Imran. 89-92 tho he was averaging 73 with the bat and about 47 runs a inning but his bowling average was 34, strike rate was 82 and less than 2WPM. That's why I say that in all rounder comparisions, Imran's batting is a little overrated.
