Sure, but if it was an Indian player who was involved, you'd say something like "Such nonsensical pearl clutching over something this harmless".Such nonsensical pearl clutching over something this harmless

Whereas because it's an Australian player, you say "Such nonsensical pearl clutching over something this harmless".
Such hypocrisy.
Siraj is a bit of a prick though and carries on in ways not warranted by his stature in the game. All Indian fans know this. I remember a video from a few years ago of him grabbing and ragdolling Kuldeep Yadav by the collar. Desi simps (subs?) tried passing it off as normal dressing room behavior but **** that ****, no man should be yanking your neck around...unless it's a different context altogether. Doesn't speak to KD's credit either; no wonder he gets picked and dropped randomly lol
I think if you are screaming and looking directly at the batsman, you're more likely to get a response than if you are just running past to celebrate with teammates though. Starc was pretty pumped up when he celebrated getting Jaiswal out in the first innings but never actually paid the batsman any attention. If he had been looking straight at him and celebrated in the same way, I assume he would've possibly got a different reaction.Yeah, look, as my very first post on the incident I remember I said a batsman was more than entitled to respond if the bowler carries on with some personal diatribe in the guise of a send-off, heck, I think every batsman should respond to a send-off as it remains the second most cowardly thing in cricket. And if Head was giving it back for some earlier sledging by Siraj then its understandable but I dont think any of this justifies him initiating the whole thing with his words for a celebration that was just mostly screaming which is pretty normal in all international cricket.
Completely agree about Siraj being a bit of a loose cannon.
I thought it was Gayle but wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for reminding me about Watson dismissing Gayle, was the worst celebration I've ever seen.
Best bit was Gayle looking back at him with total bemusement. Don't think more opposite ends of the coolness spectrum have ever been captured in a cricketing frame.I thought it was Gayle but wasn't 100% sure.
It was shocking. Like a kid who is too tired not being able to decide if they are excited or about to have a tantrum.
It's not Gambhiring to say your side has a weak batting line up. It's Gambhiring to hysterically proclaim, when a game is evenly poised, that your team is going to get fisted to death when there's no evidence to support saying so.So to clarify - it's not Gambhiring when the Aussies predict failure for their team, but it is when the Indian fans do it yea?
It's extraordinary you're still banging on about this two days later. Can you show us on the doll where the bad Australian posters touched you? Move on ffs. You're embarrassing yourself.Looks like pointing out facts like the cowardly Aussie team tactic of throwing the ball at the batsman, literally doing it even in the series after the Phil Hughes accident, has touched a nerve. But I definitely thought you were at least a notch above jingoistic clown posters like Burgey, tbb and TJB.
Anyways, Here is the video link of the video from crapinfo article that I alluded to. Again, pretty clear it was just a regular fast bowler who has been tonked reaction to getting a batsman out to which Head reacted with verbals and then Siraj gestures to the pavilion with his hands.
Watch - Siraj gives Head a send off

if its not hurting anyone maybe just shut the **** up hey
It's HB. He's always wrongWhere's he wrong tho
Eh broken clock etcIt's HB. He's always wrong
That was probably the worst example I've seen tbh. Just woeful (presume you mean the Gayle one)It's no different to Watson carrying on like a pork chop when he got someone out years ago (or the many instances in bewteen).
Fair point this tbh.Eh broken clock etc
Watson was the absolute worst. It wasn't just 1 time, he'd scream and carry on most of the time he got a wicket. Just a toolI think if you are screaming and looking directly at the batsman, you're more likely to get a response than if you are just running past to celebrate with teammates though. Starc was pretty pumped up when he celebrated getting Jaiswal out in the first innings but never actually paid the batsman any attention. It's no different to Watson carrying on like a pork chop when he got someone out years ago (or the many instances in bewteen). The reason it provoked the batsman was he was carrying on at them, rather than just celebrating the wicket. Siraj went all Ollie Robinson in wanting to let a batsman who had dominated him know that he had got him out (eventually).
Fortunately, Siraj doesn't tweet like Ollie.
