He's 20* now but it's taken him 99 balls to get there. Why can't these young blokes rotate strike? It's a lost art to so many of them

He scored his first 15 runs in singles and twos tbf. His problem was actually that he just couldn't find the boundary in between his strike rotation.

To be fair in this case it's basically just because he had absolutely no interest in anything outside off stump and the Indian bowlers were quite disciplined.

His main issue was that he kept hammering cut shots straight at point.

Most importantly, he actually looks to be a very solid player and there’s no way that you can say that about many others

What is Doggett even doing playing for Aus A? Not even in the top 20 seam bowlers in the country I would have thought

Yeah it was kind of frustrating to watch.

Still, if your biggest problem facing decent bowling on a pretty spicy deck is that "you keep nailing beautiful shots at fielders", you're doing okay.

However, there’s evidence that he’s expanding his game while retaining his solid foundations

Give me that all day over the likes of Harris etc who are much older and haven’t improved at all
