South Africa Domestic Season 2024/25

He was in the SA U19 squad during COVID.

His strengths there were clearing the ropes & bowls a few meds. Wouldn't say he has a chance of playing FC cricket. Pure white-ball.
Just seems weird he gets a contract must have better allrounders out there.

Gideon Peters is so exciting. Hopefully gets exposure this season as he can go to higher honours.

Action has straight lines. Remember him swinging the ball last season when I saw him and he has gas. Skiddy type. Bumpers tough to get out the way.

Crazy that Linde isn't used in any int format , like insanely crazy, 😳 there must be something not like he has retired .

He fell out with CSA after what he felt being messed around. In squads and not playing and then randomly being left out. All this came when Maharaj, Piedt & Muthusamy got smashed by India and he came in and got a 5-for and was in and around white-ball squads too.

Him and Simmonds got WP over the line last night that's for sure.

Yes I'm aware but he hasn't officially retired and his form is too good to be ignored, their egos must be threw the roof as I'm sure the 2 coaches would love to select him.

Lots of talk of Robbie P, Imran Khan and obviously Russell Domingo we know at the Lions.

But Salieg Nackerdien at WP won the 50-over title last season (first trophy in a few years for the Province), got us to the 4-day final and they really should have won that against the Lions. Now he has a chance to get us to a T20 final tonight against another big hitter in Titans.

All this without de Zorzi, Verreynne, Bedingham & Burger who have pushed their way further into the Proteas set-up. No money to spend at all unlike how Lions, Dolphins, Titans recruit.

Has some experienced guys like Vallie, Moore, Linde, Simmonds, Paterson & Hendricks but largely been blooding young players. Semi-successfully with Bird, Smith & Mpongwana and jury still out on Kitime, Bayoumy, James, Bedja. Both players who travelled up for these play-off games in Whitehead (uncapped) and Waqu (Maybe 1 or 2 games) are just out of school. So it just highlights that it is pure development from within.

The Province also has lost players like Jason Smith, Zubayr Hamza, Gavin Kaplan, Meeka-eel Prince.

Lost moreki and dawood also who both mainly riding lions pine these days. Him and dobbo from wp rugby done great things on peanuts . Imagine if wp had decent boards . Bedja did very well in 4 days last year. James only 19/20 needs games. I'm always worried that barring linde we have zero batsmen who can hit out, stroke of genius though to move Moore normally an opener to 4 gives better. Balance as Bird and Smith can score quickly in first 6 .

They've given Oliver Whitehead a debut in his place in a SF in effect. Taken a worldie catch, a wicket in his first over & batting is his main strength.

Not a perfect performance from titans but good enough for us to make the final. Hopefully Klaassen is saving his best for then. Good to see Andile get some runs been some time.

Judging by the tour of NZ and the SA A side, I think we can assume the next batters in line are:

1. Breetzke/Rickelton
2. Brevis
3. Brand
4. Ackerman or Mpongwana?
5. Maybe someone from that NZ tour? I think guys like Hmaza and Peterson are at the back of the line now.
