AgreedJacks should never be bowling
Not 100% convinced, especially if we're not talking about the powerplay. He actually bowled pretty effectively in the hundred, for instance. But he didn't bowl well today.Agreed
It’s funny because of the fantastic one day team we had under Morgan but the Englishman in me still sees a 270 ODI target and goes hmmmmmmStrange innings. Not even getting through 45 overs is obviously terrible, as is somehow contriving to be 9/210 or whatever it was but that feels like... not a terrible score?
Could easily be run down in 35 overs of course.
This has been some knock from Carey
Carey C GIMH B Spark 74This is actually some innings, just quietly.
Yeah, it's one of those innings when Aus felt at one stage they were heading for 300 and England at one stage thought they'd bowl them out for less than 220. I'm not sure I see such an inexperienced England side winning at a canter, but hopefully we won't do the opposite, and obviously the series would benefit from an England win.Strange innings. Maybe greens just bring rested? Played all the t20s in the build up to this and unlike hardie they want him playing and bowling vs India.Well that's interesting, Green dropped?
Maxwell, Starc and Hazlewood back, Green, Dwarshuis and Abbott out.
Basically becomes Short and Hardie preferred to Green. Maybe it's because Short is opening and Hardie is again nominated as the 3rd seamer
Bad run of form across formats, got picked as the scapegoat for the spin collapse vs India in the WC and the selectors backed inglis. Why did Australia drop Carey again? He averages 33.71 with a SR of 89 (Finch and Smith SR is 87)
