Top pace bowlers to debut in 21st century

For all Tim Southee's faults (and this is written by someone who wants him out of the test team), he is one of the best SENAW seamers in Asia. He is currently on 380 wickets so it would be great if he can quickly get to 400 and retire.

Hazlewood > Philander
Why? Neither good enough to lead attack in Asia as visible by their WPM and the fact that they often get dropped in those game first.

Both superb in SWENA conditions. Hazelwood is tall bouncy bowler while Philander has amazing ability to move the ball both ways.

Yes his record in Asia is good. But overall career record not that good for a guy who plays his home games in New Zealand.

Rabada definitely better at home; the gap is exaggerated a bit by English conditions being frequently quite batsman-friendly until the 'pace pandemic'. Rabada has been given almost constant bowling conditions at home, but has been pretty relentless there and has surely won them many games so still deserves the plaudits. I don't think Anderson can match him there, or even be quite as destructive if there was an equivalent stream of English bowler friendly conditions, so that is a mark in KG's favour.
Newlands
Anderson 18.81
Rabada 20.67

Could of been the best this century

Bond imo the best of the lot, beautiful action, massive inswing, bowled medium pacers line and length at 150kph+

Nah Rhino was awful before 2010. Basically just got picked for his end career peak and was still quite brittle.

Harris in FC prior to his test debut:

(2001-2009)

38 matches 107 wickets @ 32.93 2 5’fers

Impressive he even managed to get picked for those first tests. Probably because he was doing so well in the ODIs then.
