Yep.

Although in fairness Kerr's run a PB and a national record, there wasn't much more he could have done.
The fact he had to come round the outside perhaps cost him slightly there? Although really he wasn't ever going to get the inside so it's not that relevant.

Cracking race though

You could tell halfway round the last bend Hocker had it. He got blocked coming off the bend by Ingebrigsten, if that hadn't happened he would have won by more.

Maybe, although had Ingebrigtsen then stayed on the inside rather than try and push Kerr out perhaps Hocker would have struggled to build up that final sprint but if ifs and ands etc

There's the Horn of Africa women's 3000m steeplechase and the rest of the world women's 3000m steeplechase. Efficient of the organisers to combine them into one event.

Haha yeah my missus just commented on how the field has split.

France and GB coming strong late, splitting up the East Africans like it's Somaliland in the 1890s.

The BBC continuing to analyse the race and talking about it as nauseum rather than showing the actual sport going on is ****ing annoying.
In fairness, this was one race you could spend a lot of time analysing. The athletics has been outstanding. Men’s 400m looks like being another corker too

Michael Johnson is launching a very well funded Grand Slam Track competition next year. 4 meets each year and I think it's just sprint, hurdles and middle distance events.

We should be seeing the best compete against the best more often and they have to do 2 different events. Really looking forward to that now after how good the athletics has been this Olympics.
