No team does that in India. They show up with mid spinners, but spinners nonetheless.

As someone who chucked their entire career, I can attest I was never given the ball in anything but a friendly.
Yes? He still ended up averaging over 40 in India all things considered. Nowadays touring batters are lucky to average 30 in India.

I mean, that also could be associated with the small fact that in the 2000s, India had a batting of Tendulkar-Dravid-Laxman-Sehwag-Ganguly.

Sure but you had many better quality spinners too. Many of the ones taking wickets past few years are well below worldclass spinner level or debutants but do better on sporting pitches.

there’s zero evidence to suggest they are by the numbers. A few random anecdotes don’t make a case
again there’s no prevalence and a couple random anecdotes don’t build an argument

There is. Tahir, Harmer, Lyon, O'Keefe, Murphy, Patel all had cheap sizable series hauls this past decade. You had debutant spin rookies like Kuhnemann and Hartley win games by themselves.
Compare that to previous decades and there isn't much to compare really. Rarely did foreign spinners did that well.
The past decade, pitches generally have been a bit more spin friendly. This is so obvious that really its just disingenuous to not acknowledge it.
