*Official* West Indies Tour of England, JULY 9th to 25th, 2024-- 3 TEST MATCHES

Qlder

International Debutant
Cricinfo and Sky Sports has given Shamar a promotion to #10 over Seales, about time
And Shamar still at #11. Seriously what does he have to do to go ahead of Seales so he doesn't have to give his wkt away going for a bash as last man in.

Test Career
Seales - 13 Tests, 66 runs @ 6.60, HS 13
Shamar - 5 Tests, 117 runs @ 16.71, HS 36

This Series
Seales - 3 Tests, 25 runs @ 8.33, HS 8*
Shamar - 3 Tests, 60 runs @ 12.00, HS 33

Same with Motie, why isn't he batting #8 ahead of Alzarri? It's like Brathwaite has no idea how to set a batting order (are McKenzie, Athanaze and Hodge in right 3-5 spots?)

Come on, you know that 13 and 5 tests respectively isn't enough to demonstrate a better tailend batter, especially when tailend innings tend to be flukes anyway. You need to look at their domestic stats too.

In first class cricket:

Seales - 193 runs at 7.14, strike rate 36
Shamar - 166 runs at 11.06, strike rate 61

I trust that clears it up.

This is not a pitch to be 54-5 on. This is also not a pitch where you lose 13 wickets in a day.

But hey bad batting + good bowling is fun
