Missed stumping there

as far as I’m aware , I think this is woods first red ball innings this summer. He has not played for Durham and was in the T20 WC

Just me or a pretty poor day of cricket?

Wrong decision at toss.
Poor bowling.
Dropped catches and missed stumping now too.
Batsmen playing some desperate shots to get out.

Not many come out of this with credit…
121 from Pope. No credit?
Stokes' first score with the bat this summer
3rd fastest Test 50 for England from Duckett

Hope they aren't included in your no credit

It's been awful to watch, a prolonged T20 match featuring brain dead batsmen against a poor visiting side that play like they are just happy to be there.

*Slowscoring ODI match on a flat deck

According to Nasser this is the first time in 14 years , spin has been used on the first day at Trent Bridge

is he correct about that ? Surely there will have been a single over before lunch once in that time

Nearly 400 in a day is not without credit . Though I agree some of the dismissals have been gifts
It's more just they would get punished by better sides with how we've played in these two games.

They've already kind of treated this series with disdain how much the Ashes has been talked about.

But if we play the way they've done in these two games with sloppy dismissals galore they won't post 350+ first innings scores in Australia and more like sub 250.

Especially when you'd want 450+ type scores in Australia.

It's like they've learnt nothing from the Ashes and India.

Which is the most frustrating thing, even though we've still scored runs and well ahead of this game after being 1-0.
