Ok thanks. Such a random pick, can't see this ending well...
Don't be daft, any fool could skipper the US to victory at Bethpage, it won't be close.......and it remains to be seen if the LIV boys will be allowed to play for Europe. I kind of hope they're not. We'd lose anyway, make it even more embarrassing to them that they chose money over the heritage of the game.

Netflix has a reality series called “Full Swing” focusing upon life on the PGAT

Part of it was devoted to the selection process for the last American Ryder Cup team where Bradley was snubbed

Media has already picked up on it

As long as we don't get a Zach Johnson-like performance on Full Swing before the Ryder Cup, it will be a win.

I hope you are right but doubt if it's that simple. Since all the top European players play so much in the US, we don't have the same level of home court advantage that you guys have when we play in Europe...Bradley said he would consider LIV players so expecting at least DeChambeau to be part of the team.

Links golf is so much more interesting than the average PGAT course even if this place isn’t great

Rory seems to be back in a pretty decent place. Can see him going very close again next week.
Rory could win by 10 shots and it won’t make any difference as the questions will remain about his performance in majors

Why are British golf cameramen so bad?
Probably because they don't spend their entire careers going from one golf tournament to another like in the US.

Don't think they've been too bad anyway, but does seem like visibility is a bit difficult on a couple of holes.

Disappointing finish

The drop looked dodgy but was by the rules so you can’t fault the player

However, the slow play of MacIntyre got out of hand and his group finished nearly 2 holes behind

They were right behind them until the delay on 16. And even then, they were playing 17 whilst Scott was on 18. Bob's not renowned as a slow player at all, and we know Ludvig isn't.

I see Garcia tried to compare his Exhibition win to Alcaraz and the Euros, funniest take of the weekend. Anyway, he gets all week to celebrate it whilst the others are at Troon (and were probably more interested in preparing for that too).

Weather looks interesting this week, a bit of wind and rain on most days. Could be a slight benefit for the late/early tee times. Last time here was the Henrik/Phil shootout, I suspect experience could be vital again.

McIntyre was on the clock from the 7th hole but marshalls did nothing about it as usual

Shame because he seems like a really nice guy and it’s always good to see a fellow lefty win

Nothing wrong with what Sergio said

Not only is it for a Spanish audience but hard to think of a better day for one country across a variety of sports

Absolutely ridiculous that he’s not at Troon when you see some of the players who are exempt via a bogus ranking system

Damn, these asterixes are ruining the majors!😭

The only way Sergio should be playing the Open at this stage of his career is as a past champion and he choked away a golden opportunity to be that at Carnoustie all those years ago…

Every ranking system bar OWGR has him top 50 which has him at 323 😂

Wouldn't a top 50 golfer have breezed through Open qualification? Justin Rose, whose career is not unlike Garcia's, is the current 67, he qualified.

I suspect Garcia is more like a 75-100 rank these days. Let's not forget how poor he was on the PGA before he jumped.

Those results don’t count anymore

Garcia is currently ranked 46 by Tugr, which is used to rank all amateur & junior events while Rose is ranked 132

LIV players cop it in 2 ways from the OWGR - they’re not credited for any results on LIV & their performance on other tours are divided by the number of tournaments that they might have played

For example, Garcia has recorded points in 10 tournaments in the last 2 years but those points are divided by 40

It’s nonsense
