2nd semi-final: India vs England | Providence

Him and or Kuldeep could prove to be a big problem. Conversely Adil Rashid is very important for England
Rashid has been good but I feel like Kuldeep is a better bet to keep it as tight as possible. Him and Bumrah are very good defensive bowlers. England perhaps have the better batting firepower but Guyana isn't the easiest wicket to just smash through the line on so a T10 will be interesting.

Could see Sky and Livingstone getting promotions today.

Tbh I would still be pleasantly surprised if we see a game. The outfield will have taken a battering by lunchtime.

Bumrah is a big problem in a reduced game
Reduced game is a bit of a lottery, if you got a nothing to lose mindset vs Bumrah it might actually be more beneficial, a lot of the time the opposition just try to see out Bumrah in his 4 over spell ..

In a shortened game every over has to go for runs no matter what and you'll only be doing that for 2 overs max vs Bumrah in a shortened game ..Also an average bowler can fluke a good over or 2

I believe a shortened game favours England who are a better boundary hitting team than India , and usually in a shootout its the best six hitting team that wins

Best thing about this game is that there will be a loser at the end of it and I'll be happy regardless who that is
Having said this, I hope India would go through as they look legitimately good and again the team to beat

Soap dodgers on the other hand has been kissed on the dick. Lost to all the good teams except one fluke win and minnow bashed their way almost to the final. If they somehow win thanks to some rain affected bs, it would be the least deserving world Cup winner since 2019

Haha, you're not even considering the 2021 Covid CoinToss Farce as a World Cup. I like your style.

Bwhahaha won on boundary count and incompetent dharmacena. And that's after four years of extensive focus on limited overs cricket to win a world cup at home. Worst bunch of over paid/rated ginger shits

I’d personally take Eng’s 2019 WC win over Australia’s 2021 win any day. England in the former still performed well as a unit, beating favourites like India when it was a must win, and thrashing Aus in the SF. Australia just won the 2021 WC because of winning the tosses and then also they just won the semi because of Pakistan’s horrible fielding. Australia also just qualified above SA cause they bashed the minnows harder, and won narrowly agaisnt SA, where SA competed much better overall and beat Englan. How good Aus were in that WC was shown in the match when Eng walloped the life out of them

This whole tournament has felt like a farce . Imagine reaching semi-finals of a WC by beating 3 associate team and 1 Test playing nation .
It isn’t England’s fault that Pak couldn’t beat even USA . But it does feel odd that you can reach SF by just beating WI ,Namibia, Oman and USA .
Doesn't England have the highest NRR in the tournament prior to SFs?

I know it's not an exactly correctly way of calculating it, but if you add the NRRs from the 2 stages, it comes out as:

1. Eng 5.60
2. W.I. 4.22
3. India 3.21
4. Aus 2.46
5. Afgh 1.54
6. SA 1.07

Well worth a SF spot I'd say.
As I said earlier it isn’t England’s mistake that Pak couldn’t qualify. But something about this T20 WC feel odd . Rain affected matches , Dodgy pitches in USA , good teams getting eliminated in first round itself. Feels like 2007 ODI WC which was farce .

Well of course you are going to take a 50 over worldcup win over t20 one for so many reasons. I'd say one 50 over wc worth about 4 t20 world cups.

That's beside the point though. Had Dharmacena not been a complete incompetent **** and knew how to actually apply cricket laws, Nz win that game even after stokes cheated by shovelling his bat on the path of the throw to gain unfair advantage
